Ryder fought well and forced the action, Canelo tears Smith a new A Hole.
He has no chance of holding him off if they fight.

If Callum Smith was facing Canelo he would be fully motivated for the biggest fight of his life.

Smith would bring in the form that destroyed George Groves and beat Alvarez.

Saul knows this and will never take the fight.

Everyone underrated Ryder, he always gives everyone a tough fight and has been "robbed" a couple of times before, fighters like that never get a break because they have no fanbase.

Like Master said, motivation was obviously a big factor for Smith, he's struggled like that before in supposed "gimmes."

Ryder deserved to win yes he has been robbed in the past but that's boxing.
Yep sometimes it stinks and the result for JR stank.

Smith felt exactly as Master said

Props to Ryder for what the vast majority feel was a victory

Ryder did really well in that fight and used his size, quick hands and feet to beat Callum for a lot of the rounds.

I think Smith is weight drained at the weight because he fought in spurts and lay on the rope far too much. Whenever Smith raised the pace and threw combinations you could see he was the better fighter and a class above. Unfortunately he did not do it enough and if it was under different circumstances then he would have lost that contest.

Callum Smith should really move up to light heavyweight, but he has the dilemma of waiting for Canelo (or another big fight) when he really should just move up into the next division.

Callum looked drained at the weight he was flat 6.2 12stone that extra 7 lbs would benefit him maybe he could not get up for the fight that performance was pretty poor.!
But we are doing Ryder a disservice not praising his performance sometimes in Boxing we see some shit results that was one.!

Ryder absolutely deserves a rematch and if he doesn’t get it Callum will suffer from fans like me that ask them to do the right thing. Fans of the sport.

Of course his fanboys will accept whatever he does.

I want to be a Smith fan so I want him to do the right thing.

Big difference between a faded Groves and a in his prime Alvarez. Don't get me wrong, Smith is a good fighter. Alvarez is a better fighter

I bet you that Canelo would rather take on Rocky Fielding.
