    nice tunes @El Kabong , that Louis Jordan was surprising to me. Love that Trane song too, a classic.

    The guy on the keyboard wasn't half bad either.

    its called circular breathing, not too many guys can do it, he can blow for several minutes wihtout taking a breath. BTW the piano player was McCoy Tyner. Yeah Rahsaan was blind as well.

    awesome sax lines around the 2:00 minute mark. And the flute has great timbre/color.

    I've seen her play a few times live now, click on the 2 minute mark for some funky blowing.

    I can appreciate the skills there but I just dont like the music. But thats just me,so dont feel offended.
    Im of the taste where I like the Sax in funk and the blues more. Love it when its punctuating the music and accentuating the percussion more than running through endless scales.

    This woman is great. Her style to me is more funky than jazz. With that being said, check out Candy Dulfer playing with the funkiest Sax player ever- James Brown's own Maceo Parker. About 3min in -she sets it on fire.
