    Default Coronavirus deaths are increasing

On Friday March 27, Italy, Spain, USA and many other countries had more deaths than on any day so far.

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries (click on yesterday)

919 died of coronavirus in Italy in one day, 773 in Spain. 401 died in the USA. This is becoming worse than many people believed, with 27,352 deaths so far.

Nelson Cuevas, one of Boxing's most famous cutmen died on Friday of coronavirus.

During the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, Cuevas worked countless corners as both a trainer and a cut man. He worked alongside late trainer Al Certo as a cut man for two-weight world champion James “Buddy” McGirt, was a cut man for another two-division champion, Vinny Pazienza, and served in the same capacity for 1976 Olympic gold medalist and longtime contender Howard Davis Jr. He was a trainer and cut man for lightweight champion Carlos Ortiz during Ortiz’s comeback and also worked the corner of hard-hitting heavyweight contender Earnie Shavers.

Derrick Jefferson, one of the most exciting heavyweights of the late 1990s, is on life support after testing positive for COVID-19.

The three categories in which people have a high chance of dying if they catch the virus:

    1) Pre-existing chronic health condition

    2) Compromised immunity system (for example, low lymphocytes or low white blood cell count)

    3) Age 65 or over

Very few people under 50 die of coronavirus, unless they have an pre-existing health condition.

But some young people who have recovered say it's the worst pain they have ever endured. It has been described as feeling like one's lungs are bursting and feeling like there is someone standing on their chest so they can barely breathe. It it can continue day after day for two or three weeks.

The fatality rate in Italy broke 10% versus just over 1% in the US.

Italy received the virus some ten days before the USA.

During the next week we'll likely see an increase in the death rate in America, where many people have just become sick the past few days.

They say 86.5 percent of those that died were over 70. They are also talking about poor testing and medical treatment in general

12,384 have recovered in Italy, of 92,472 confirmed cases.

3,224 have recovered in the USA, of 116,326 confirmed cases.

The numbers show that the USA is still in the early stages, while Italy may be at or past it's worst.

Yes, people over 70 especially those with pre-existing health problems are more likely to die.

Italy was hit earlier than other places. They were caught off-guard and unprepared.

Here in Canada, we've had time to take measures: preparing nursing homes, closing the schools, theatres, fining stores and restaurants for not enforcing the two-meter policy, etc.

I don’t know freedom I can’t say you are wrong but Italy just reported it’s highest death rate in one day. They don’t seem to think they are at the end. Italy is saying the death may be higher than reported as so many people are dying at home untested. So what, I think we are 13 days behind Italy? Don’t quote me on that. This whole thing really sucks. Here we are talking numbers saying oh your next, but think of all the families or the poor bastards who died alone. What’s going to happen is going to happen. I hope the us morality rate doesn’t jump 8-9% but my crystal ball broke. Early on during this thing an Israeli biotech company reported they found this virus in poultry and had been working on it prior to breaking out. They said they could produce a vaccine in 3 months. Not saying they would have the doses ready for injection but the vaccine itself. That was on Bloomberg financial news, I’ve heard nothing more about it.

USA has had 515 deaths so far today.

    Italy has had 889.

    Spain has had 844.

    France: 319
    UK: 260

Countries with large populations like Vietnam, India, Bangladesh, and Nigeria have had relatively few deaths.

I’m not sure I believe that mate, viruses are indiscriminate killers. Despite what a certain idiot says, Coronavirus is freakily contagious and it does not racially profile it’s victims. What is more likely is:

    - they haven’t a clue how many people in their country have the virus (same as us)

    - they have no widely available means of testing (same as us)
    - they are not attributing deaths that happen to the virus
    - healthcare isn’t great, and it’s certainly not universally available
    - or they are lying, in order to prevent mass panic and total breakdown of civil order

We will never know the true numbers of Bangladeshis or Zimbabweans that died from this, but rest assured that they will be more than sharing our own pain.

Italy's death rate now may be past it's peak with 756 today compared to over 900 a couple of days ago. Still very high, but it will get better.

US cases and deaths are still increasing every day, and will probably peak by the end of this week and decline slowly during the rest of April.
