Haye has just come off a top performance and showed the opposite imo.

    Hayemaker by KO

I'd hold fire as yet though because there is no concrete evidence that this is happening at all

Hope it does because this is the main event imo.

Maccarinelli v Haye signed for April?
    Haye to get Enzo fight?

By Ant Evans: The mouthwatering all-British cruiserweight clash between WBO champion Enzo Maccarinelli and David Haye may well be a-happening on April 7.

Posting on his MySpace page, the Hayemaker said: "Yo fight fans I've just been given some great news by my manager Adam Booth. And that news is... terms have been just agreed for me to fight Enzo Maccarinelli - live on ITV- April 7th."

And European Champion Haye added: "Let's get ready to rumble!"

The fight, if it happens, will take place on the same Cardiff Millennium Stadium bill which feature's Joe Calzaghe's slaughter of undersized, overmatched three-time reality TV loser Peter Manfredo Junior.

For many British boxing fans, Maccarinelli v Haye would be the most anticipated fight of the night (if not the entire year). It is a terrific bout in prospect between two young powerful KO artists.

It will be interesting to see whether the mooted bout will be a non-title attraction; Haye has made much noise of not wanting to win the WBO crown while he waits for his mandated WBC title shot.

It is also interesting that Haye said the fight will be broadcast on ITV, who work with Maccarinelli's promoter Frank Warren, and not Sky Sports, who work with Haye's promoter Frank Maloney.

If this all comes to pass, this is a significant coup for ITV, and perhaps a significant indicator as to the state of the domestic scene, too.

Several British fighters - speaking off the record for obvious reasons - have told me that they feel their careers have been and continue to be held back by Sky. There's a creeping feeling that Sky, once the flagship of British boxing broadcasting, is now only interested in the low-budget leisure centre circuit and domestic titles.

Maccarinelli v Haye is a fascinating fight all round.

    Voicemail

    Certainly looks promising

F8ck me,the UK fight scene needs this fight
    Fingers crossed

Let's hold fire and read this from Warrens site

    http://www.frankwarren.tv/drill/News...cca-offer.html

"He can't hold out in the hope that Enzo is going to fight him on Sky, because that's simply not an option.

"Sky aren't interested in showing the fight because of the ridiculous financial demands Haye is making.

"But more importantly they know, like me, that there is only one winner, and that's Enzo Maccarinelli. They are not in the business of helping to promote an ITV fighter."

    THIS WORRIES ME......

Seems like b*llshit politics may (AGAIN) get in the way of our enjoyment.

Who's this Neil Thompson fella (eastside) and where did he get this info? This was posted yesterday by him yet I've seen no updates on warren's and Haye's sites.

Seems to me both sides are talking crap. On Haye's website it states that the offer is to fight on sky, which obviously won't happen, while I find it difficult to see how they could do it on the April 7th bill. The tickets for the millennium stadium have been on sale for a while, and I presume the amount of money ITV and HBO are contributing have already been arranged, but both Enzo and Haye's purse would be much more than what they would have set aside for Enzo and a lower opponent.

I really want this fight to happen though, I've already got a ticket for April 7th. It should be an awsome fight however long it lasts.

Only if Enzo loses If Haye gets beat he'll be doing his best to get it on with someone decent in quick time. If Enzo gets sparked Frank will have him on a 24 month rehabilitation programme culminating in a third fight with Hobson
