Great stuff..
I hope that between all the bitching and moaning and complaining these guys have found time to train for this fight.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
So the fight is in 2 weeks? I have heard that neither were in serious training. This could be farcical, I think Ward is the more cerebral fighter though and this could have been some gamesmanship.
Where did you read this Skel? Haven't seen anything on the internet. What's the venue?
Yea im curious to see where the venue is going to be too. I can't see the tickets sale doing well at all if this holds true. I would love to go if it was local, but like most people i've made other plans since i haven't heard anything.
I don't see how it could be in so short of time, they have no time to promote the fight, sell tickets or even train. I hear neither of them was in serious training.
If both are in shape....No one in the SS really nhas time to get out of shape if they do they are idiots considering they know how often they will have to fight and that no fights are going to be walkovers....This should be a great fight....I think Dirrell can win....He has the speed and movement to give anyone fits...If he stands his ground at the right times he will catch Ward solidly...He actually has a higher KO% then Ward.....Or Ward could outmuscle him on the inside if Dirrell is not careful....Yes this fight has all the makings of a Fight of the Year canidate
Dan Rafael doesn't think so.
@danrafaelespn What's with the Showtime fraud of advertising Ward-Dirrell as still being on Sept. 25 during tonight's ShoBox telecast? NOT HAPPENING
Yeah this fight isn't happening on the 25th. Both guys aren't training, there's not even any location or tickets sold. Showtime also just sent legal documents to both promoters telling them to get there sh*t toghter or there getting there butt sued.
I read somewhere these two are friends, and that means it may be a crap fight.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Staying in shape and full intensity training are two very different things. For these guys to be as sharp as they can be generally even if they come into camp in good shape they need at least 6 weeks to maximize their reflexes and stamina to peak conditions. Especially for a fight like this where we have the two fastest guys in the tournament, and so much they do relies on reflexes and staying sharp.
Eurosport will be showing the Ward v Dirrell fight on Tuesday.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
