Default Fights that you didn't think were as close as many did

Or what could be known as the Harold Lederman bashing thread

    Just a few examples

Hopkins-De La Hoya-I had ODLH winning one round before it was stopped. Not sure how close most thought this was

Toney-Jirov- Had Toney with 8 rounds, also a knockdown and I could be wrong but I think Jirov had a point taken off. Actually the judges scorecards were around this but not Lederman's and a lot of people thought it was a lot closer.

JMM-Barrera-Every time I've seen it I've had JMM winning either 8-4 or 9-3. I did ignore Lampley which could have something to do with that.

Morrison vs Foreman. I had Morrison winning a tactical fight easily.

I don't even remember much about that fight. I vaguely remember watching it.
I still don't understand how Lederman found 4 rounds to give to Naz against Barrera but again that was more of a purely Lederman is a dipshit example.

I watched Toney - Jirov again last night, gave Jirov the first round and a couple others in the middle but you are right it wasn't that close.

Marquez - Barrera I did think was close, I think had the 8th gone differently I had Barrera winning that fight. Of course I'm a huge Barrera fan that might have something to do with it but that's genuinely how I scored it.

As for the actual question I'm drawing blanks. There have been tons of fights where the judges scored close but I didn't but that's the judges. So fights like Mijares-Munoz which was a split decision but really more of a blowout then anything don't really count.

I don't see how those fights were not close, but a lot of people think Mayweather-ODLH was separated by a round or two, and thats complete BS. Oscar maybe won 4 rounds if he was lucky.

Oscar definitely won more than one round against Hopkins who didn't really start taking over until a little later, and Barrera-JMM was a very close fight, Barrera won 4 rounds pretty much in the first half of the fight.

How many rounds did you give Oscar in the Hopkins fight? I have no idea how anybody could find more than two to give him. Flurries that don't land don't do much for me personally.

Calzaghe beat hopkins easily. After the forth round, hopkins was just doing his best to try to keep the rounds close so he can complain at the end.

I had Cory Spinks winning by a mile against JT. He took him to school. Bullshit decision by the judges.

It seems everyone had De la Hoya - Whitaker close and a lot had Whitaker winning. I had De la Hoya winning and not close

i didn't think winky vs j.t was close. i thought j.t won ud. 3 rounds up atleast.

i think j.t landed the harder punches and winky pretended to be blocking them but if you look at his face its for sure those punches were getting through. I think winky was getting beat up so he acted up to avoid the ora his really losing. his defences is good but he was just standing in front and he was getting hurt, even if he block some of them those impact are still going to the back of his head. plus imo j.t allowed it to look close cause he would let winky corner him and he could move out easy but he choose to trade there and or rest.

    Mayweather vs Oscar

I thought Mayweather won quite easily.

I gave DLH 2 rounds against Hopkins, but there were a good number of close rounds in it.

Hagler-Duran. Well, most people I've encountered on message boards didn't have it that close either. It was just the judges. I gave Hagler 10 rounds.

I didn't see any total punishment and complete destruction of ODLH like many proclaim. I barely saw any of them really really really injure each other. ODLH kept pressing the fight and he was the champion, go figure.

Mayweather - ODLH : That split decision was complete bullshit, Mayweather all the way.

ODLH - Sturm : That fight was fixed in my opinion.

Toney - Sosa : Sosa flailed like an idiot the entire fight, should have been a UD not an SD.

Lacy - Mendoza : Lacy lost that fight in my eyes, one of the judges had it 97-93 Lacy, even Teddy Atlas called him out on it.

Toney - Peter I : Toney took it!
