Even so, he brings a big name to the league and can be competitive here. I mean this isn't La Liga or the Premiere League. The MLS as a whole is trying to get it's name out there now to capitalize on the added interest in the World Cup, so it's a win-win IMO. Henry should be able to have more of an impact, see the ball more and play a few more years than he would have otherwise, the Red Bulls could use another weapon and the MLS gets another world recognized name.

I'm joking. I think it's a good move for him.

The league is getting better, the facilities are good and the money is good. Not to mention good lifestyle.

I'd want to go! Plus I'd want to always be the best player on the pitch and he can do that in USA more than La Liga, everything is more enjoyable when you are better at it. He'll be a marked man though, it's not gonna be easy for him, if he's not amazing, the fans could turn on him. Especially with his French arogance.

I was kind of surprised to hear he was only 32 (or maybe 33), really not that old. He should have a few very good years.

They must be paying very good money there and isn't their captain an ex-villa player? It is better than going to Dubai which is where some other players are going.

Rumor has it LA are interested in bringing Ronaldihno to the MLS.

I think the MLS has really learned from the old NASL, they have tried to plant the soccer seed and grow the game here and obviously it's helped out our national team, we have more depth, we have more skill, and we're competing vs top teir opponents and winning our fair share.

Hopefully the MLS can amp up it's marketing and create a bigger niche for itself. I think the season is perfect, it's not trying to challenge FOOTBALL directly because it wouldn't win and that's a fact. College football and the NFL are king around here. But I think there is more than enough room for the MLS to gain traction here....obviously.

Henry has good years left and I think that he can be the perfect foil for Donovan and LA. For every hero you need a villain or a threat and hopefully Henry can be that guy.

Alright so he is playing in Red Bull garb for the first time tonight in a friendly against Tottenham.

8 pm EST. It's on Fox Soccer, Fox Deportes and of course MLS Direct Kick and MLS Matchday Live.

Henry got his karma sent back to him in the World Cup. Watching France implode was fun. Still hope he does poorly.

Apparently Trezeguet wants to join RBNY now....soon they will be the New York Frenchies. But it's great that MLS is attracting such players.

Apparently Rafa Marquez is going to sign with New York which sucks cause I didn't want to hate them but now I have to.
