If that was a David Tua hook, Cassius would have stayed down!

Big guy goes down on his 'ass'. Crowd goes Ooooh !!! > I got it."

Funny, just watched an HBO documentary about the fight. Ali was such a prick to Joe. Joe helped Clay get his license back, helped him financially during his broke times. The whole fight really turned into a cultural event. The documentary went on to say the winner ended up winning and the loser ended up winning. What do you think of that comment @bill Paxton

    Joe Frazier won the battle.

Muhammad Ali lost. The 'left-wing' media did praise him though he lost.

Later, Muhammad Ali said that it was the '3' white officials that cost him the fight. Ali could never accept that he lost.

It was a he'll of a fight. Ali gave a beating and took a he'll of a beating. Bryant Gumble wrote an article prior to the fight calling Frazier a white fighter in a black body. He talks about (today) he was wrong for doing it but stated that's how it was back then and Frazier just didn't grasp it. He wanted to fight, that was it. It was an interesting time and a beautiful fight. James Taylor was at the fight. I'm going to see James Taylor perform on the 17th, just a side note.

    ~ Psychological Warfare ~

It was the goal of the 'Left-Wing Media' to portray Smokin' Joe Frazier as the white man's fighter.

Smokin' Joe was labeled as fighting for the U.S. Government.

But Mr. Frazier wasn't into politics.

    Joe Frazier >

"This is a fight for the World Heavyweight Championship. Nothing more, nothing less. For me,
there are no politics that are involved here."

"I don't care where Muhammad stands on any political issue. I'm a professional fighter. After
I win, I will be the same guy. There are no 'phony-isms' with me."

"I have no baggage that I bring in the Ring with me. It's just me and my '2' fists. I'm no
Sonny Liston, who had more trouble in his closet than the 'Titanic' sitting ripped apart in
the North Atlantic." Or Floyd Patterson, who was a 'porcelain' China Doll, with cracks everywhere."

"This time, Muhammad is in for a fight."

Just shows you how great Ali was to get up after the 15th round from a perfect left hook. Most fighters would have stayed down.

    Oscar Bonavena

"I went 25-Rounds with Joe Frazier. He hurt me a few times, but he never came
    close to putting me down."

"He is a good puncher, but he's not a great puncher. George Chuvalo hit me just
as hard. So did Jimmy Ellis, and so did Zora Folley. And that other Philadelphia
fighter Leotis Martin hit me harder than Joe hit me."

"No, Joe Frazier is not the hardest hitting Heavyweight. He may be the sharpest and
most accurate with his heavy-hooks, but he is not the hardest puncher out there"

Oscar Bonavena was stopped by Ali.
