I watched some highlights of Ernie Shavers, what impressed me were his 3-4 punches comboes that started from the body to the head, kind reminded me of Tyson's comboes.

I think Shavers would be a thougher opponent to mike than Thomas+Smith together.

I don't see Shavers lasting more than a few rounds. He was a hellacious puncher no doubt, but Tyson had a great chin and probably could have gotten up from even Shavers best shot. Aside from the chance of a hail mary landing early, Tyson was so much better at everything, it's not even much of a fight imo.

Shavers is perfect for Tyson. Shavers was a guy who wouldn't run, he would stand and trade because his power was so great BUT Tyson was always sharp early and with his fast hands and good headmovement so I think that is the deciding factor. Once Tyson hurts Shavers, Tyson ends the fight.
