Default Silly Banking/Financial question: I signed over my paycheck to my landlord.....

...and he signed under my signature and deposited it in his account back in March for March's rent.

I'm worried now --- what if he says I never paid? How can I get those checks back for my records to prove I signed them over to him? and that he indeed received the money?

I don't understand why you would give your pay check to your landlord. Walrus, do the right thing and give it back to him! Walrus has always seemed a fairly solid sort, so I wouldn't worry too much, but do a bit of shadow boxing just in case.

I think you can talk to your employer for the data on the cashed check but start by asking your landlord to sign a receipt from that time of he hesitates you know the jig is up

For some reason the word cheque sounds like something that Pepe Le Pew would say.

What I think you should do is assume the worst, drink 15 pints and then go deck your landlord with that Suzie Q and upload it to youtube. Failing that, a teller at your bank or your employer might be of more help than Saddoboxing on this matter. Do you not do online banking or some shit? Just print a statement that shows the cheque cleared or whatever.
