Is anybody else working more during this virus thing? I’m really getting hit. My wife is enjoying working from home and I’m bouncing around between three different shifts and way too many days in a row. I have one guy requesting a medical appt as he says he isn’t feeling well, this has of course created some tension among other clients we have. I think the schedule is starting to get to me and our place extended the lock down until May 20th so I have a way to go.

Fuck I shouldn’t complain about working with so many people being hit with job loss. I truly feel like shit for all the suffering this has caused. I hope no one here is getting hit in that manner. My wife’s place did some pay cuts for some levels of staffing but they aren’t complaining they know it could be worse. All the hair cutters, dentists, retail workers and damn the poor restaurant workers. So many people screwed currently it’s very sad to see.

i took a four week holiday as our orders had dropped, guys at work are saying they are now doing a week on a week off. all small businesses are fucked. this won't end soon. the future will be like demolition man, where the best restaurant was taco bell, as only the big corporations will survive

It fucking sucks. I started working in restaurants when I was 15. Later I became a waiter at a decent family owned steakhouse. I actually made good money but of course you are relying on tips. I knew plenty of women who supported themselves and children waiting tables. What’s going to happen to all of them. All of these independent restaurants aren’t going to reopen and when they do people aren’t going want to sit in smaller restaurants with clustered tables for a while. I stayed friends with people from that restaurant and I know several people still work in that place from my days. Most people probably know waiters don’t even make minimum wage. Sure you can have a week where you walk out with two grand cash in tips but what happens to them now? It keeps running through my head as everyday I drive to work and see all these closed restaurants.

I know we are estimated to be at 10% right now I can’t give you an exact number as the reporting is backlogged so whatever number they say it is it’s going to be higher. Tbh I know ubi is being talked about I don’t know how far that will get but I imagine these stimulus packages are just going to keep being approved. Why the hec did are stock market rally all this past week, probably because at this point the government is damn near nationalizing the stock market. The whole universal basic income thing makes no sense when the us is 20 trillion in debt, I guess more like 24 or 25 after these stimulus packages but the system is so fake and rotten maybe I shouldn’t care. I’ve always been a constitutional originalist, with all its faults it is one of the better systems of government but like Benjamin Franklyn said “we gave you a republic, if you can keep it.” Imo the founding fathers screwed up not putting term limits on the senate. These bastards only care about maintaining their own power and privilege and a great way to do that is give shit away. Maybe we are to far gone, it’s really screwed up now. I’m also not hip on seeing a bunch of people suffer, ubi or stimulus after stimulus I have no clue what will happen. I hear mentioned often we will have a quick bounce back or a V shaped recovery once this wuhan is under control, I don’t see that happening. I guess I can sum it up by saying I have no fucking clue at this point. And I understand your hesitation to take a vaccine. I was on a biological medication for a condition I have. I gotta say it worked amazingly but then I started reading up on it and I stopped that shit after one day of reading.

    happening.

the market is still crashing even with infinite quantitative easing & stimulus packages, the bubbles will burst, it is all fake. if you take into account the unfunded debt it is more like eighty trillion. maybe they are giving all this money away because they know the system is not going to be around much longer. they'll bring in a whole new digital fed currency, maybe all linked to id2020. i think we all have no clue what will happen, but all i keep hearing is this will keep going until they have a vaccine, why the fuck is anyone listening to gates? he couldn't even fix viruses on windows. he's the last guy i'm taking medical advise from. my nephew died shortly after receiving his shots so all my immediate family don't take any now

There is certainly no social distancing there and no masking up.

this was in 2016, after a nightclub shooting in orlando, forty nine people were killed, the dancing by these cops was just what the city needed

They are literally celebrating exubating a patient. When 51% of patients admitted to ICU die you can see why they would celebrate every life saved. If you think they are clowns then what does that make you?

You are just proving your own stupidity again. You say you are not American so where are you?

Here in the UK most of us by now know of people who are affected directly by the virus or have family, friends and/or colleagues who work in hospitals or as paramedics etc who can relate to us directly exactly what is happening from direct experience every day. And yet you are telling us to dismiss their first hand accounts and believe you with your deluded rambling.

The only reason you are not surprised that I don't believe you, is because you make massive assumptions about people you know next to nothing about, and have been very quick to call many posters here cowards and babies. It smacks of desperation and a real disconnect with the real world and a reliance on cosy conspiracy theories which make you feel safe and that you repeat in order to make yourself appear more interesting than you really are.
