    That is a sad one.

Boxing is like sex. The more you have it the less you appreciate it and start to wear women's underwear.

Float like a butterfly sting like a bee – his hands can’t hit what his eyes can’t see.

It’s hard to be humble when you’re as great as I am.

I’m not the greatest. I’m the double greatest. Not only do I knock ‘em out, I pick the round. I’m the boldest, the prettiest, the most superior, most scientific, most skillfullest fighter in the ring today.

I never liked this quote because it just isn't true, a lot of the most recognized and appreciated names in Jazz are also among the very best, and what the hell would George Foreman know about it

I was gonna rip his heart out. I’m the best ever. I’m the most brutal and vicious, the most ruthless champion there has ever been. No one can stop me. Lennox is a conqueror? No! He’s no Alexander! I’m Alexander! I’m the best ever. I’m Sonny Liston. I’m Jack Dempsey. There’s never been anyone like me. I’m from their cloth. There is no one who can match me. My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable, and I’m the ferocious. I want his heart! I want to eat his children! Praise be to Allah!

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

"Fatigue Makes Cowards of Us All" Originally by Lombardi or Patton but I heard Holmes say it once i believe.

I mentioned this quote of SRR before. Reflecting on youth, prime and downfall.

When asked about his declining skills:

"The fighter himself is the first to know it. You find you have to think your punches. The punches you use to throw without thinking, you now have to reason.

It is something that happens to all of us once the instinctive inventions and discoveries have been made. Then we reach back into the library of our experience, and what was once the product of inspiration is now merely the result of reason."

Now that's some scientific talk there:
    Sugar Ray Robinson
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!
