Default Floyd's possible opponents since he will not be facing Oscar DeLaHoya

Leonard Ellerbe, adviser to Floyd Mayweather Jr., told Dan Rafael of ESPN.com that the Mayweather camp has been informed that Oscar De La Hoya will not be fighting again this year. That shoots down the possibility of Maweather facing De La Hoya on Sept 18th of this year.

Ellerbe tells ESPN that this has prompted Mayweather to start planning his next fight.

Ellerbe tells ESPN: "We have to move forward. Floyd is clearly head and shoulders above any fighter out there, and the best fighter in the world is going to fight on Nov. 4 on HBO Pay-Per-View."

Ellerbe also gave ESPN a list of opponents that Mayweather is interested in fighting Nov. 4. They are welterweight titlist Antonio Margarito (who many fans and critics a like have been shouting for). Also on the list of possible opponents, the winner of the July 15
Shane Mosley-Fernando Vargas rematch. There is also interest in UK Fighter, welterweight titlist Ricky Hatton; plus Miguel Cotto; or Carlos Baldomir, if he successfully defeats Arturo Gatti next month. maxboxing.com doghouseboxing.com

I wouldn't mind seeing Mosley-Mayweather, should Shane get past Vargas on July 16(?)

Although Mosley doesn't look as superb as he once was, against Vargas there was flashes of handspeed, combination punching, ring craft. I think theres life left in him yet. I just wish he stayed with Joe Goosen.

I would like to see any of these fights except for Baldomir. Margarito, Hatton, Cotto should be the top three in that order.
