    Correct me if I'm wrong but the reason boxers who are HIV positive aren't allowed to fight is due to the fact that through cuts and wounds and what not the virus might get transferred?

    Yes definitely, say if Poonsawat was cut and it went in Rigo's mouth or in his eye then there would be a great chance he would catch it. It would be far too risky to put them in a ring together.

    i would think so. Bottom line is, an unhealthy fighter shouldn't be allowed in the ring.

    Oh man I was about to go on and curse Poons name until I read he has HIV? This is sad. I was going to cheer for him to spark Rigo.

    That's too bad, it's not the death sentence it was, but his fighting days are done.
    Rigondeaux does have problems getting opponents into the ring, if it's not one thing it's another. This was the fight I wanted to see the most.

    I take it they have repeatedly re tested to make sure its not another tommy morrison case..im sure the tests are better than what they were many moons ago.
