Povetkin blew his chance. I am sure Wilder would love a peice of AJ and Wembley with the money that it involves.
Wilder can beat Parker or winner of Briggs/the other fellow.
Stiverne must be close to 40 now, and he's been inactive.
Wilder needs to take on a decent, prime HW.
this one isnt wilders fault, they seem to be doing all they can to get stiverne to step aside but he wont do it, wilder calls out everybody else non stop too, I am pretty sure he will be taking on one of the other champions before the year is out... unless he buggers this up :S
At this point in his career, I really don't think that wilder is ducking fighters. The other top fighters in the division aren't fighting each other either. AJ just beat lead but other than that, AJ, wlad, Parker, Ortiz, and wilder haven't fought each other. Every other HW is pretty worthless.
Stiverne is a good enough fight but if Deontay beats him then Wilder has to fight HIGHER and OFTEN.
I'll settle on Stiverne just stepping off to the side and throwing two punches in a row this time. He may be mandatory but with inactivity and being dropped in only fight since Wilder, it's a step sideways for Wilder. He should have jumped into the ring like a loud wrestling heel in AJ-Wlad post fight.
I heard the Parker fight may be on the cards for later in the year.
