    Default rubber guard

my brother just sent me this book on the rubber guard its a new way to land submisions from guard. i have been working this into my ground game. I just wanted to know if anyone else has heard of this and what you think about it. the book is writen by Eddie Bravo my bro is undefeated if pro mma and says this is the best way to attack from the ground.

I know of Bravo, and I've heard of the technique, but I'm not real savy on the details of it. I watched people use it and it didn't look much different than just a high guard.

I think what you were seeing was the most basic position of the guard its like the starting point. it is like a high guard but with a more controlled lockdown of your opponent this is good to avoid being ground and pounded.from there it goes into some unique submisions but the triangle choke seems to be the quickest to land. the book also diagrams alot of situations and moves that are similar or the same as BBJ like escapes and half guard sweeps so the book is a good buy to have good pictured diagrams as a refrence

Yeah I just read a good review on it. I was really interested in the aspects of no gi application since thats mainly what I do. It seemed a big onus was put on flexibility though, which for my body composition is good but not compared to most..Ill being buying a copy of the rubber guard and his other book as well.
