A genuine pioneer and legend. Him and Chuck Berry invented rock and roll and inspired everyone who followed.
Young Elvis used to sneak into his shows to watch him when he was a kid.
An electrifying performer, amazing voice and a proper rock and roll life.
Rest in peace Mr Penniman

Mad as a box of frogs and right out of the top draw.
RIP.
He played with Hendrix before Hendrix was big, Billy Preston and another big name. I don’t want to look it up as I was just thinking about it. Does anyone remember the musician I’m forgetting without looking it up?
one of the rare obesity people you will see from back in that day in age. Now a days in this day in age, vast majority of the people are obese.

A very important article.
A lot of great tunes, but a very wild man. Apparently he used to make his wife watch him while he was having sex with other men. He was really into voyeurism too. He was caught spying on men going for a pee. Very dodgy and then overcompensating with the religion part. You cannot argue with the tunes though, a lot of really great numbers in that back catalogue.
No doubt he was an excellent performer. I have to admit I didn’t know he was gay. I probably read it in the past and forgot about it. I don’t think his gayness was integral to his performance. Elton John is great because of his talent and collaboration with Bernie. It’s an odd article. I just listen to the music I don’t need to know the sexuality of the artist
