Default Kessler injures his hand, fight postponed

He injured his hand in training and now his fight with Robert Stieglitz is probably going to have to wait until early next year. Hopefully Mikkel gets healthy and this fight still happens.

Kessler is done at the top level. I always knew he wasn't as great as many people made him out to be. He's just a basic fighter with decent power..

He's better than that, but I agree that he's been overrated. His best win is still over Froch. The problem is at this point it appears his body has got to the point where he can't train like he needs to for rights without injury. How many times has he been injured over the last 3-4 years.

I agree Kessler is better than that, only lost twice and he gave Calzaghe a great fight didnt see Ward fight.

He is clearly becoming more injury prone which is a sign that damage is taking its toll.

Hope he recovers, he's a great fighter to watch, leaves it all in the ring.

The thing is he is famous for "giving Calzaghe a great fight." However, if you go back and watch it, he gave Calzaghe a great fight for maybe 4 rounds after which Cazlaghe took over and it wasn't close. Kessler got more positive publicity from such a clear loss than really anyone ever.
