I heard he was in hospital over in Vegas, obviously not a surprise. But that was the last I heard about it all. I haven't heard that he has been released and it was a severe and brutal KO and when he was being turned onto his side it reminded me a lot of the Benn-McClellan fight and we all know how tragic an outcome that was.

Ricky is a great guy and doesn't deserve to have a serious injury yet even as he was leaving the ring after the fight he seemed very very shaky but I think the fact he left on his feet is a good thing.

Anyone know if he has been released from hospital?

It was a stunning knock out. I was hoping he would just get through the round prior to that. And then boom, Hatton collapses. Like I said on another thread, it was scary and I was genuinely worried seeing him not even moving properly for so long.

I've read that he's okay, so hopefully with a bit of rest he will be back on his feet.

It really reminded me of Jones Jr's two knockouts, and if you are someone that gets hit as much as Ricky does then it's probably a sign that enough is enough.

when you get knocked out in america its a mandatory emergency room visit



usually guys dont get hurt that bad from 1 punch KOs but he did slam the back of his head on the canvas pretty hard

I think the punch was harder than the hit on the mat, still the "combo" didn't help, I'm sure.
