Default If Floyd fought Algeri and Manny fought Maidana...How would it go?

I was watched Pac VS Algeri this weekend then rewatched May Vs Maidana II afterwards and it made me wonder how the fights would have looked like if the opponents were revesed for Mayweather and Pacquiao.

How would Manny have been able to keep off the hard charging Maidana? And how would Mayweather have dealt with an Algeri that has just as much or more movement then him?

    What are your thoughts?
    The key is Self-discipline.

Algieri has nothing to really offer Floyd. No power, can move but very stiff, no great hand speed, ect. Floyd's going to pot shot and counter a guy like that all day.

Maidana/Pac would have been much more interesting because Pacquiao isn't a defensive wiz on the inside like Floyd is and would have had a lot more trouble tying Maidana up. But with Pac's more aggressive style and willingness to throw bombs, maybe Maidana would have been more gun shy in charging in. Either way, Maidana is a much more interesting opponent than Algieri.

Algeri is a complete cakewalk for Floyd as well, and I think Manny would probably have beaten Maidana with less trouble than Floyd had, maybe even a lot less.

I'd like to see both of them fight someone better than Algeri or Maidana if it isn't going to be each other next though, that's for damn sure.

I think Floyd may have slipped slightly more than Pacquaio based off their last couple of performances.

Perhaps now is the time for the super fight to end all super fights.

Floyd stops Algieri late or wins a completely one sided decision. Manny stops Maidana, maybe even early. Styles make fights. Both guys dominate Algieri, but Maidana, like Hatton, is made for Manny. Easy win.

Agreed, I don't see Algeria giving Floyd much trouble. It would probably go twelve, I don't know if Floyd could have knocked Algeria down except for the water slips but Floyd would probably take every round with the exception of the twelfth where he would be doing his fairy run.

Manny would probably have fun with Maidana. Maidana May try the hard charge but he'd get nailed with combos. I doubt Manny would KO him but I could see his ads on the canvass. Manny Maidana I'd like to see. A side meth is great, I had some last night.

They are both a class above so close or not so close both win.

Better yet, what happens if Algieri fought Maidana? I think Maidana pushs him against the ropes or in the corner and clubs Algieri with looping overhand rights into submission. Make Algieri think about getting out of boxing and moving to hollywood.

I feel he would beat both, but might struggle along the way.

He certainly struggled against Joseito Lopez, until he stopped him.

Hell, Algeri might even run his way to a decision, but I doubt it.
