Michael Jackson sounded black but when I saw a picture of him he looked white.
Remember reality is an illusion caused by a lack of alcohol .

Booker T & The MGs (not 100% white but white enough haha) and The Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section (aka The Swampers) were very soulful sounding
The Swampers backed up Mavis Staples, but also the Rolling Stones, Paul Simon and plenty of others
The Righteous Brothers were soulful as well
but I think the one that really threw me off was this
The Spencer Davis Group

The Feats had that back beat black funk sound going on too.
