Hmm... you seem to be new to Bill Paxtom, so I'll fill you in.

You see.... Billy seems to be privy to some astounding information regarding Muhammad Ali.
    Information that proves several

    things:

    1. Ali carefully orchestrated the circumstances under which he fought everyone in his career. He

fought them either too early, too
late.... or just plain picked on them while they were vulnerable. I wouldn't be surprised to find out from Billy that Ali planted flu bugs in opponents training camps to make them sick before the fight.

    2. Ali was scared of everyone he ever fought. They all knew that, but somehow Ali was able to buy the judges and referees to cut him some

slack..... to favor him when things were going rough. It's a miracle he didn't lose more often. Again, thanks to Billy's incredible research skills, we too can be privy to this information.

    3. Ali didn't do all that much for the sport of boxing. That is just a myth, perpetuated by boxing writers and the media, who were also being
paid off. Why.... without Ali, the
world would've been flocking to see Quarrys and Folleys fighting each other. Interest in boxing would've skyrocketed, even more than it did with Ali.

    4. Billy hasn't even touched on this yet.... but I'm sure pretty soon we'll be reading about how Clay (Billy

    chooses to ignore Ali's God-given
right to change his name. Who the hell does Clay think he is, anyway?).... we'll be reading about how Clay suffers from horrible flatulence, and how Clay is the
    world's worst tipper.

I don't know about anybody else, but I for one am sitting on the edge of
my seat, waiting for the next useful
tidbits of information from Billy. We are so lucky to have within our midst someone with the awesome research abilities on one Bill Paxtom.
Ha ha! Thanks for the heads up , Tito.
Clearly , back in the late sixties, Bill was sat at home wanting to watch Tom and Jerry on the telly, but his Dad wouldn't let him because he wanted to watch Ali!
Either that, or Ali went off with his missus!

    "I beat up Cassius way back in 1959. I was only a Middleweight at {163 lbs.}
and he was around 174 lbs."

"After I tagged him a few times in the 1st-Round, he got on his bicycle and
flew around the Ring. I was expecting a tough fight from this 'kid' from Kentucky,
    but he was nothing special."

"Then I floored him when he tried to trade with me in the 2nd Round. At the end
of the 3-Round fight, he couldn't even look at me and congratulate me. I went to
shake his hand, and he stuck out his hand, but he looked at the floor in shame."

So Ali would be 17 years old boy and Foster 21 year old man. Either way Ali stopped Foster 13 years later.

    1959

Bob Foster showed heart and courage by joining the 'United States Air Force' in 1957.

    Yes he was a 'man', in 1959 {Age; 21}, but he was a 'skinny' 6' 3" Middleweight.

Cassius was all of {Age; 17 years, 4 months}. But, he was ranked as the #2 American
Light-Heavyweight, and was getting all the publicity.

Bob was 'the man' in 1959, and schooled the Kentuckian boy.

Well done Bill, you've proved the Ali point perfectly. At 17 years and 4 months of age, Ali was schooled by the 21 year old Foster. Later on down the Line, Ali smashes Foster and many others in his career and become the Heavyweight Champion of the WORLD not once, not twice , but THREE TIMES!!! WOW!!! What an amazing improvement Ali made. That takes some doing doesn't it Billy boy? Thanks for enlightening us all and highlighting the Dedication and Desire Ali must've had to become as good as he did.
As for Bob Foster...........yeah,he was ok.

'My amateur career was more important to me than my professional career.
I didn't really care about Championships all that much. It was about making
as much money as possible, and then getting out without too much damage.'

'I wish Cassius would have had 'the balls' to get back into the Ring with me
in 1968. I'm not saying which way the fight would have ended, but I was a
much better fighter in 1968 than 1972.'

'In 1972, I was 34 years old and completely worn out, and Cassius knew it.'

Even Foster does not say he would win. Let it go.

Bill, I notice you never quote your source and you have a vast amount of quotes, and I can't find any of it on the net. So I decided to look for some "quotes" myself.

    1972
" finally I get the chance to smash the shit out of Foster, he's been avoiding me for 13 years . Ever since as a 17 year old, when I sparred him and he was a 21 year old man, he couldn't get his skinny ass anywhere near me. He thought he was some big shot Middleweight, but I just toyed with him, dancing rings round him and giving him a boxing lesson.
Because he knew I would rule the heavyweight scene for many years, although he was 6' 3", he spent the next 10 or 12 years eating nothing but Fresh air so that he could make the light heavyweight limit and avoid fighting me.
Eventually, he couldn't shred any longer and he was getting to the end of his career and had no money. So he had to get in the ring with me and I made sure he earned every single dollar.
After the fight, he came over to me and whispered in my ear " thank you for the payday champ, you truly are the Greatest, no matter what little Willy Paxtom says!" So I said " who the fuck is Little Willy Paxtom?
    Muhammad Ali.

    1968

    Bob Foster

'Cassius said yes, and then he said no. He didn't really want to get into the
    Ring with me in mid-1968.'

'Instead, he said he would fight both Floyd Patterson and Buster Mathis on
the same night in Salt Lake City, Utah'.

    This is true,

Cassius said he would fight Floyd Patterson and Buster Mathis on the same night
    in back-to-back 10-Round fights.

Cassius suggested that Bob Foster fight Rudy Clay {Cassius' brother} in another
    10-Rounder.

Seems like Foster took a monumental ass whipping every time he went up to HW. Should have kept his ass at 175.

    Wrong

Early in his career Bob Foster defeated Heavyweights

    * June 27, 1962 ............ W Split-Dec 8 ...... Bert Whitehurst ~ {195 lbs.}
    * December 11, 1963 ..... KO 3 .................. Willi Besmanoff ~ {197 lbs.}
    * February 25, 1964 ....... KO 1 .................. Dave Bailey ~ {204 lbs.}

And Bob did this while walking into the Ring at 175 lbs. on his 6' 3" frame.

    Bob Foster >

'Had there been a 190 lb. Junior Heavyweight Division, I would have been Champ
for 15-years. My best weight was around 180 to 182 lbs.'

'Look, I took out Philadelphia Heavyweight - Dave 'KO' Bailey in One-Round, and
he out-weighed me by +25 lbs. This is the same Dave Bailey who was beating up
Cassius Clay in those February 1964 sparring sessions at the 5th Street Gym in
    Miami Beach.'

See... here's where Billy won't bother answering and will continue his monologue.

    Take that last phrase:

"This is the same Dave Bailey who was beating up
Cassius Clay in those February 1964 sparring sessions at the 5th Street Gym in
    Miami Beach".

Granted... this is supposedly a Foster quote, but..... it gets put out there as fact.

Give us facts, Billy. Don't give us regurgitated sour grapes comments from bitter old boxers who were all doomed to fall under the shadow of Ali.
