NBC starts at 6 pm with Karl Dargan 15-0 (7) fighting Anthony Flores 11-4-1 (6). Dargan is well skilled but tends to be another in the line of pickers and choosers with punches. He could do with stepping up pace and should shine here.
Anatoily Dudchenko 19-2 (13) vs. Nadjib Mohammedi 34-3 (26) in a Lt. Heavyweight bout. Think this is a title elimination fight for a Hopkins trinket. I seriously think he would have a more difficult time spelling their names than he would defeating the winner in the ring, but we'll see.
Showtime and Showextreme....Extreme starts at 7 pm and will likely feature the return of Chad Dawson fighting George Blades Lt. Heavies. Heavyweights Dominic Breazeale 10-0 (9) vs Devin Vargas 18-3 (7). Breazeale reminds me a bit of Calvin Brock. Both of them represented the U.S in the Olympics, a lifetime ago for Vargas. He also has the unfortunate distinction of being badly beat up and knocked out by Kevin 'Nerf Ball' Johnson Yikes.
Showtime triple header starts at 9 pm. There was another thread that could have been used but a couple of neighborhood kids turned it into a trashed coloring book and started slamming down their crayons on the keyboard thus making it a race baiting mess. Devon Alexander 25-2 (14) vs Jesus Soto Karass 28-9-3 (18 ) at jr middle (??)...Robert Guerrero 31-2-1 (18 ) gets back in action fighting Yoshihiro Kamegai 24-1-1 (21). If Guerrero is rusty and coasting, he will probably find himself being outhustled. Then the curiosity and one that could be a coin flip. Gary Russell Jr 24-0 (14) vs Vasyl Lomanchenko 1-1 (1). What defines "true" experience, quality vs quanity? Number of starts and hands raised? Should be a nice fight, we can only hope.
