You must of never seen his fight against the overweight Samson Po'uha, he knocked Andrew Golota senseless. And was on the verge of stopping him, until Andrew Golota bit his neck.

Andrew Golota is overrated he beat up on a very shot Riddick Bowe, who i thought would of stopped him in the 4th round of there 2nd fight. Had Andrew Golota not of hit im in his carrot and onions, about 6 times that round.

But Riddick Bowe also couldn't deal with good outside fighters, Tony Tubbs outboxed Riddick Bowe in his prime. Tyrell Biggs had him totally off his game with his flicking jab for about 4 rounds.

Andre Golota was a good skilled Heavyweight but nowhere near as good, as people make him out to be. And if he was "Special" like people claim with or without a good mental game, he easily should of atleast won a world title off fighters like John Ruiz, Chris Byrd. Andrew Golota lacks something for me, and its not just his mental game either.

Plus to someone who replied above no he didn't just quit against Mike Tyson, he quit because he was losing and was on the verge of being stopped. And Michael Grant knocked him senseless and would of stopped him, regardless if Andrew Golota would of quit or not.

In the Tyson fight it was actually a good thing he quit...He quit because he did not feel right....After the bout he went to the hospital and there was swelling on th brain...He basically had a concussion without losing consciousness....The reports stated another hard shot could have killed him....

Lou Duva who was irate with Golota during the bout for quitting actually made a public apology to him for doubting his heart and for trying to make him fight when he stated there was something wrong with him/......

So aside from any personal opinions as a fighter that one thing is something that can not be held against him...

As for my opinion of Golota....He was a big strong HW with better then average skills and decent chin who could have held a version of the title but seemed unable to compose himself during stressful times in the ring...causing big mistakes

If his "mind was right" Golota could have been an all-time great.

it was hard being an andrew golota fan. your either frustrated at him or feeling bad. Last I watch him was against brewster, and he totally got smoked. that was sad.

I agree, Golota really kinda sucked and made a career off of looking good against Bowe.

well i'm not sayin that Golota is the greatest thing since Tyson or anything like that, but he did get screwed over agains both Byrd and Ruiz, he should have been WBA/IBF heavyweight champ, but on that same not, Brewster took him out in a round, and well should have been WBO/WBA/IBF champion

With the right shrink on his team, Golota would've gone a lot further in boxing.
