    Hi showmi,
    You asked:

For foundational base stance purposes, the rear toe should basically be at a 2 o'clock position for orthodox fighters or an 11 o'clock position for southpaw fighters. With this said, keep in mind that with random, spontaneous movement, the position of both lead foot and rear foot will fluctuate in minor degrees (from the base stance) at any given moment. But again, as a foundation, the 2 or 11 o'clock position is where the rear toe should be positioned.

    Take Care,
    Lito
