Lovely picture Mick. There was a jazz opera written about the legendary Griffith, called "Champion" I think. It was an American production. Not sure if it's still running anywhere or if there is any video footage of it but now he will be remembered as a great fighter by boxing fans everywhere, and a few others who do not follow the sport.

Not sure if it's still running anywhere or if there is any video footage of it but now he will be remembered as a great fighter by boxing fans everywhere, and a few others who do not follow the sport.

@Greenbeanz the opera just recently premiered in June I'm sure it's still showing...

I watched Ring Of Fire today in pieces throughout the day as time permitted and it's still #2 in my top 10 list of boxing documentaries.
