Default Nothing matters, but it is not depressing!

Most people when they hear or are faced with the reality that nothing matters say oh wow I should just go jump off a bridge now will go kill myself now then. But that is not the right way to look at it because that implies that you thought there was some kind of real lasting permanent thing to your existence. However we can all see every day we pass a cemetery or every day we hear the news that people are dying every second. Their careers and their plans and their worries and their problems and their fights in their arguments and even their accomplishments and their dreams and their goals all disappear when they disappear. Now I know there are some people who will say that technically it does not disappear because it lives on in the Next Generation or lives on in the lessons you taught or the stories you told or the difference that you made in life to others. And in a sense I definitely agree with that obviously look at great works of literature how they have for centuries affected and influence the way people think and feel about things. But just in terms of your own self and your own existence nothing really matters because it is like trying to grab water in your hand all of time and existence and experience and all of the moments just slipped through between your fingers and you cannot hold it and you cannot stop it and you cannot freeze it just like the figurines on the Grecian urn in that great poem Ode to a Grecian urn. I find solace in this Melancholy relief and Beauty in this as opposed to what I have found many many other people find which is that they say that if this is the case then they will just commit suicide now because they just cannot bear the thought that it is very very possible that nothing has any meaning at all. I could never look at it like that and I hope others can see the beauty of not simply defaulting to depression and despair when faced with the reality that probably most likely nothing matters. Nothing matters at all. I think human beings are so self-important that they truly believe that they matter somehow in the whole scheme of things. But they don't matter anymore or any less than a single electron or a blade of grass or a cold I see meteor speeding through empty Eternal space

Not sure why God would make it like this and of course I would prefer to have an afterlife or another dimension to continue in consciousness Etc.

It shouldn't but there's no dealing with some people.
