Just showing his commie colors, who knows, I can see Rigon doing just about anything (dirty) to try and win this fight, but I believe Nonito is going to wax his Cuban ass, no matter what he tries.

Great fight for us hardcore fans Saturday night, i'm really looking forward to it.

    cheers

Gentlemen and Fellow Donaire Fans - does anyone have any concern that Donaire will lose a number of rounds as a result of his recent tendency to wait while loading up on the big shot? It seems like he is looking to land the "bolo" punch for rounds at at time. And how about the jab? He didn't throw many in his last fight. Is it necessary for a win?

Unfortunately, I might have to catch this on replay as I have a wedding Saturday night. We'll see. Please no spoiler thread titles.

Rigondeaux waits LONGER.... Donaire is a harder hitting counter-puncher to boot. So even if he waits for a shot on the counter, his impact will be more than Rigon's incoming. At least what the theory is.

I am soo looking forward to this fight. I am seriously tempted to bet on Rig but the fact he has never been in the ring with anyone near Donaires level is making me think long and hard. I just really have that feeling in my gut he is going to spring the upset though. This is a real potential FOTY IMO I just hope it lives upto its potential.

I will probably have a few quid on Rig @7/4, he is one of the best I have seen as far as Cuban defectors go but to leapfrog the likes of Casamayor he needs to fight and beat a few guys of elite level and what a place to start Donaire would be.

Its a shame these guys are not more famous because this fight deserves to be classed as a mega fight.

Forget you all, Donaire will batter Rigondeaux.

First of all I think it's one of the hardest fights to pick...
The only differences are the jaw (Nonito is better) and professional experience (Nonito has more). With that being said I say Nonito ...
I believe that his experience will make the difference.
Rigondeaux has technique but on a professional level its different.
There has been several amateurs who have been well decorated and climb into the ring with someone who has the same abilities and skills but the experience prevails. I also think that at some point they will trade shots and I feel Nonito is more willing to trade shots as opposed to Rigondeaux whom I think will slide under or move to the side and wont trade blows. I think Nonito will get the TKO win when he's on the ropes and Rigondeaux is coming in, Nonito will catch him just then.

Just another reminder, the HBO card starts tonight @11:00 PM ET here in North America, and @4:00 AM Sunday in the UK/Europe, you foreigners need to set your alarms and check this one out.

    April 13
At New York (HBO): Nonito Donaire vs. Guillermo Rigondeaux, 12 rounds, WBO/WBA junior featherweight title unification; Sean Monaghan vs. Dion "Rex" Stanley, 8 rounds, light heavyweights; Mikael Zewski vs. Daniel Sostre, 8 rounds, welterweights.

Man, I am pumped up for this one, can't wait.

I am looking forward to this one too, I think Donaire is in for a tough fight but he is more than capable of winning this one. I hope we have fireworks and I am picking Donaire to wins by stoppage.

It is a case of staying up, getting up at the right time or watch the repeat in the morning. I am undecided yet.
