Default if tyson fury fought lucas browne

would browne be the best opponent fury has faced?

This is on the night, you might say at their best chizora would beat browne but on the night chiz fought fury would he have beaten browne?

knaa browne would beat the johnson that fury beat and i think a fight between cunningham and browne would be interesting, cunningham might pip it on points, id be more inclined to put my money on browne tho

Browne had a job to keep up with a 250lb 45 year old Toney and got caught plenty, even rocked a couple of times.

Theres a reason the best name hes fought so far is Richard Towers. Id see Hughie beating Browne this year let alone Tyson. Peter Fury is looking at the same sort f level of opponent for Hughie as Lucas has been facing recently. That tells you something, that someone who hasnt been a pro even a year is lookng to fight people that Browne is after 5 years!

Browne is strong and hits hard but hes not quick, or sharp or has a very good work rate. Hes not hard to hit either and is yet to face any tests himself 5 years in. He will be a good scalp for someone soon as he is making somewhat of a name but only really on forums where hes getting a bit of an undeserved almost cult following.

After 5 years hes fought no one in the top 60 and still hasnt looked great.

wheres any kind of proof in any of this? there are only facts and the fact is that hugie fury hasnt fought the same level of opposition as browne so it tells you very little

dont get me wrong hughie is doing ok

and the reason brownes best opponent so far is towers (if he is) is because he hasnt had too many fights, am or pro, hes coming along nicely tho

none of it answers my question

browne beats johnson, so that only leaves 2 other possibilities

That's weird, because instead of putting an F level opponent in with Hughie, he's put him in there with Tyson.

To answer @erics44 question, I would say that both Cunningham & Chisora are a higher level of opponent than Browne. Cannot stand Tyson one bit and I think he's all bark and no bite, but if he beats the improved, dedicated Chisora he'll get credit from me. Some may see it as going over old ground but fact is Tyson is rated lower than Chisora by the WBC and Chisora holds the European title so he's taking a positive step with his career.

I dont rate Browne. He doesnt seem to have a higher gear. When he gets in withsomeone who can make him miss and hit him back he will be knackered.

Eddie Chambers has mentioned Browne as an opponent.

browne v cunningham isnt a cert tho and neither is browne v the chiz who fought fury first time

yeah i could put an argument together for both fighters being better or worse than browne but there isnt a massive difference

ill also say that fury won 10 of th 12 rounds against chiz first time, and ive said before a fit chiz might only close the gap

Brown outpoints the Chisora Fury fouught in exactly the same way Fury did. He also beats Johnson. Cunningham is a close one but id poss edge it to Brown being bigger and stronger, possibly winning by stoppage coming from behind.

Fury beats Browne easy at this stage. He is a better boxer and is bigger. Of course Brown has a punchers chance but thats all for me at this stage. Maybe in a few years Browne would have a better chance.

I think if the Chisora fight falls through, it would be a good fill in.

Browne is a very raw brawler and it's doubtful he will get much better , but he is game and carries pretty good strength and power.
Browne v chisora would also be a value fight.
