Watched Pavlik v Taylor on Setanta and they had Top Rank commentators. 3 of them, one I have heard of Ray Mancini but who are the others. Do not know what to make of them. Some good stuff from them but sometimes they were talking nonsence.

Don't remember the names, it was the first time I heard them and I found them annoying, over analysing everything.
It was the tone of their speech that was worst, a kind of surprised tone for every single observation they made.
Well I'm not sure who they put on but here some names of some commentators they've had in the past.
Genaro 'Chicanito' Hernandez - Former boxer
Mario Lopez - Former teen star turned host/commentator
Bernie Osuna - Sports reporter hosts weekly show Solo Boxeo (US)
You got em Mick.
I actually quite like them. Boom Boom Mancini was very astute for a guy who was in some wars! I found the commentary very refreshing in comparison to HBO actually

On reflection maybe they were good, just not used to good commentary.
They made some quirky comments about altitude maybe affecting Pavlik which I thought was just him not coping with Taylor's speed and counter punching midway into the fight. Also the person interviewing Pavlik after the fight did have an annoying voice. Mancini was good.
\another comment which was interesting was that if they were in Monzons era the fighters would be classed as light heavys.
Oh I was thinking differently, that they now have 24 hours to fill out and that these fighters in Monzons day would only be able to be light heavy.
One of the guys doing this fight was Doug Fischer from max..
Having the "saved by the bell" kid doing the commentary just seems wrong. Can't get my head round that, not that he comes out with anything shockingly shit but it's like having one of the dopes on this site guiding you through a fight
