    Default True Boxing Stance

I don't know if any of you are familiar with Marvin Cook- I learned about him last night when I saw this video. It was uncanny because he and I teach the same thing in the same way. We even use the same analogies to explain things. We must have stolen it from the same place.

That was very interesting and I do like his analogies of firing guns or show the hand and not the foot. If you have the perfect balance then you can throw the most efficient punches and get less tired.

some guys like to bring the back foot up so its a little more level with the front foot. why would you stand like that instead of with your back heel and front heel lined up? that turns your right leg into a back stop. when you throw your hook all your momentum and all your weight will catch into your right leg.

for those guys its best to use terms like left and right - not front and back - when you talk about their hips, legs, and feet. that makes a little more sense to them. that may not be a true boxing stance, but, it makes sense to them and they throw an alright left hook.

about the jab, sometimes discretion is the better part of valor, and its a decent idea to throw your jab and get out of the way.

he is knowledgeable, but presentation is poor

He simply talks a lot. Reminds me of Barry Robinson. I wonder how much time do people actual train / not listen during seminars
