    Default Who are your heroes?

Who are your heroes? Who do you consider to be some of the greatest people in history?

    Some of mine:

    Jan III Sobieski

    Douglas MacArthur

    Florence Nightingale

    Athelstan

    Hadrian

    Georgy Zhukov

Dwight Eisenhower: "The war in Europe has been won and to no man does the United Nations owe a greater debt than to Marshal Zhukov"

Mike Tyson was my hero in boxing because I was interested in history heavyweight division and he came a long to make history in the heavyweight division and era. He set the boxing world alight and was an immense draw for everyone. He was amazing in the ring and carried that aura of invincibility.

Muhammid Ali is a great person not only in boxing but in history. Being one of the youngest ever champions, beating monsters and being the under dog against Liston and Foreman, having historic fights against Frazier made him a hero.

Leonardo De Vinci was a true genius who was a head of his time inventing helicopter and other machines. He was an artist and surgeon

Genghis Khan nearly ruled most of the world and has the most offspring’s.

    sporting heros?

like @Spicoli my personal hero is my dad

an indestructible, determined and hard working man in his prime, never acted for personal gain first, and always honest and a gentleman/gentle man

hes in the final stages of his life now after a long fight against bone cancer and theres no complaining or self pity, just strength and honour till the end

Good on ya mate. Be there for him, it's the only thing you can do now. And always remember the good times rather than his final stage.

I learned quite a bit. I thought that Jan Sobieski dude was like.. His name makes me think he was an Olympic ice skater or hockey jock

Florence Nightingale now I know. Thought she sung back in the day with Ann Murray and Marie Osmond styled singers..

    Good class.
