Kinda looks like Ortiz has little idea how to fight a southpaw. Stop playing with your food. And Tony should be allowed to wear a t shirt.

tough fight for ortiz, tony thompson is no mug and he is pretty cagey and not easy to look good against, good win for ortiz but i don't think he is as tall as he is billed as.

Ortiz is certainly good but I think he is no super monster

Yeah, that shit is disgusting. He does it at least 3 times per round. Hopefully, the boxing committee will get him to stop it. No reason a ref should have to pause a fight for something like that.

Thompson looked like he was contemplating not getting up from the first knockdown. Shouldn't have.

Think I would pick Ortiz over everybody out there.

Thompson is 44 and was retired.

He also took the fight on 3 weeks notice!

Saw the replayed fight this morning. Ortiz looked good in there. On the other hand, Thompson did look like he should've worn a shirt (LOL @Spicoli ). Not surprised he lost twice by KO to Wladimir. I can imagine a prime Mike Tyson against any version of Thompson. KTFO-1.

I think Ortiz beats Wilder, IMO. Against Fury it's hard to tell.

Also, they seriously need a new translator for these HBO fights. The guy they have now can't translate worth a shit. Kellerman would ask a question and the poor clueless Ortiz would answer something completely different. They should fire that joker.

I'm fully aware of Thompson's credentials, Ortiz did what I expected. There's only a handful of current big lumps that I would confidently pick to erase him as Ortiz did though.

These fossils need to be wiped out, you can't pitter/patter around them for 12 rounds and expect anyone to be impressed.

Ortiz reminds me of a 70/80s heavyweight. He looks a natural (although he's a drugs cheat).

    There you go!

Recent trends suggest that drug cheats nowadays are repeat offenders.

Fuck Ortiz. Hes Cuban and will prove to be lazy.

He did seem a bit paint by the numbers, same shot over and over. Ortiz didn't put his punches together like he has prior but might have been trying to make a show of it. The way Thompson goes down now he looks like a guy falling into a water bed after a 13 hour workday.

Ortiz is Bruce Seldon. Built like him and fights like him too.

Ortiz seems like he fights to the level of his competition. He isn't a great fighter by any means but he has some skills. I'm not sure if he is the best HW out there but he seems at least top 5. Only time will tell.

Agree with the translating. The Showtime guy is a lot better. The HBO guy is annoying and can't translate.

I don't think Ortiz is that good! Thompson is over the hill in every way!

Ortiz is the danger man in the division.

44 or not Thompson has always been a durable and cagey guy.

Ortiz has the build of a second half Riddick Bowe and hasn't been dropped on his face at least 8 times . Seldon early looked the part, had very good hands but not the Ortiz mean streak and talent. If I owned it I'd put stock in Ortiz.
