    Default If Mayweather goes to Middle Weight...

    ... he is not going to want to fight GGG, but certainly can entertain the idea of fighting at MW- if only to duck Manny.

    I hate the thought of Floyd becoming middleweight champion. We should petition that Cotto does not fight him. Floyd's ego would be off the planet.

    Macklin, Ishida, Proksa were all flawless performances!

    Mayweather looked shit in his last fight. Fury has looked shit in all his fights. I don't understand how winning a fight extremely comfortably makes you shit? Ur standards are very strange Ross. Plus Macklin is a good middleweight, Ishida is a tough fighter and Golovkin did what no one else could, the same against Stevens. You can argue all you want about his resume but he is by far the best middleweight at the moment. His resume is as good as the average fighters you worship. Bika is a prime example. I like Bika, he's tough, but he's lost every time he's stepped up.

    Bika! 2 of his losses came to 2 of the very best fighters ever in recent years. He put Ward on queer street in the last couple of rounds, something no one else has managed. Froch loses to Bika.

    Mayweather didn't look shit. Unless you mean taking no clean shots is looking shit?

    Also, bear in mimd that Maidana was a world champ. What was Golovkins last opponent?.......

    I think Floyd would be a top 30 ATG if he beat Cotto for the title.

    His last fight was against Osumanu Adama; a stay busy fight in which he destroyed Odama, mentally and physically over 8 rounds. He outclassed a C class fighter which was expected; Guillermo Rigondeaux is guilty of the same thing because he can't find a willing formidable opponent to keep him active. Would you call him past it?

    He won by stoppage but other than that looked shit. Didn't know what to do when Adamu pushed forward and couldn't get out the way of punches either. Cotto would push him hard!

    That's not what I saw but I can understand your perspective and I won't deny the possibility. Cotto's left hook has become dangerous to the point of being able to shut down any jab in the division and give anyone problems.

    If Floyd moved to MW, Cotto would be the right opponent. Cotto is not going to come in the ring at 170-180 like other MW. Besides, Floyd whipped him already. That fight would have to build at least one more fight for Cotto. Either Canelo or GGG. And I say that because Cotto ego is getting even bigger now and he believes he needs to be on the "A" side of the negotiations. Next September would be great. Floyd fight, M&M in September and Garcia in May. Cotto fight Canelo(if he beat Lara) in December and GGG in late May or early June(won't bet he beat GGG). Then that would be the end of a great career for Money May and he would have fulfilled his contract woth Showtime.

    Question(maybe another thread);
    Other fighter was willing to meet Floyd at 160. Namely Ward and B-Hop. Do anyone think it's still possible for either of those guys to challenge Cotto at 160?
