    Default Poor Byrd

Could you imagine having your wife bark orders at you while your being absolutely pummeled?! That was painful. On a good note, thats the best shape I've ever seen him in, he's just too small for the age of super-size heavies.

    He'll be back.

And I'd favor him against Sergei, Valuev and Rahman.

I can see that. I like Byrd, he's a classy guy. But Klits is just too big and fast. The reach seemed to be a huge factor in this fight. I'm surprised he didn't fight one of those three before Klits, considering their history, actually thats says more about Byrd's character than anything. Most fighters would have taken an easier fight. Buut no way should his wife/manager be allowed to come to any more fights.

I don't see you fighting Wladimer I don't even see you fighting Lacy. If you become a professional and get up after Wladimer decks you for the first time actually wanting to continue then I will agree with you. But you have to get hit THAT many times before you even get knocked down the first time.

Could not agree more. I don't know what was more painful, Byrd showing the world how to take an @ss whippin' or Byrd showing the world his wife wears the pants in his family.

He went ot another man's country to defend HIS title. A man he has lost to before.

He gets dropped badly in the 5th, gets up.

He goes down in the 7th (damn, why did I change my prediction :P) gets up with his face cut open and was wiling to continue.

Even with the loss, Byrd is still a champion.

Seems like Tracey wanted to get in the ring and fight Wladimer for him... wouldn't be suprised...why is his sister and his wife both named Tracy

Agreed, he didn't come to lay down, he came to fight and lost. No Shame in that. As if surviving the 5th wasn't enough. Byrd deserves respect, he could easily dominate Cruiserweight but he fights Heavyweight. Where's his respect?

I really don't understand why people disrespect Byrd so much, he was a 168 pound amateur who went straight to the Heavyweight division, had to rely totally on skills and heart cause he has no punch, and oh yeah, look at who he's fought:

    among others

    Vitali
    Wlad twice
    Ike Ibeabuchi
    Tua
    Holyfield
    Golota
    McCline

Most of those guys are absolute giants compared to him, he went into those fights knowing he couldn't hurt the other guy and that they could hurt him if he made a mistake, yeah what a chicken shit
