Default Billy Joe Saunders’ next defense on Apr.14 at O2 Arena

Billy Joe Saunders will be making his next defense on April 14 against an opponent still to be determined in a doubleheader with Terry Flanagan facing Maurice Hooker at the O2 Arena in London, England.

The card is still incomplete at this time, as there’s a possibility that former IBF super middleweight champion James ‘Chunky’ DeGale and former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury could both wind up on the card.

I hope BJS stays in good condition and does not do a "Ricky Hatton". This is an important year for him which could make him rich, enhance his legacy and become the best British fighter of the year.

Funny you say that I was thinking the exact same thing, Plus I hope the opponent is world class, as I can see him relaxing after Leminux and having a shite performance if he's not a little afraid

I think that he will look after himself, he's got one eye on GGG and Ginger Pubes and the $$$

He knows that he is going to have to keep impressing until he gets the money fight, plus listening to him speaking he sounds like he is enjoying his boxing and training again so maybe it won't be such a hardship for him to stay on track

Ingle won't let him slide... no way.
He'll stay up in Sheffield and stay fighting fit 100%.

I hope so. But it’s not likely to be anyone too good, and let’s hope his motivation is still good.
I’m glad he’s back out relatively quickly though.

Ingle was Sat next to Saunders after the Lemieux win and said to the press and in front of BJS that he either stays knuckled down or I'll bin him.
Saunders is on one at the moment and there's no chance he isn't in the shape he was against Lemieux for every fight now.
Ingle fighters are always in great shape.

Like that he's right back at it and not waiting on the bench for Golovkin to beat Alvarez, again. Good ol WBO parading guys into title fights without ever fighting the weight . But Flanagan should do very well with Hooker and give him his first official non draw loss.

Perfect Matchmaking by Warren. A name everyone knows and some will think it's very competitive , whereas in reality , at this stage of both their careers it should be straightforward for Saunders.
It's also a big enough name to mentally keep BJS motivated , which is important.
so he carries on the momentum , keeps in the spotlight and if/when he wins , it will be nigh on impossible to deny him the winner of Canelo/GGG.

Martin Murray. That is nice. Murray got easily beat by Groves and said he was not a real super middleweight so this will be his best weight..

I got nothing against Martin Murray, he's a top bloke by all accounts and always gives his best. But there's also a side of me that thinks cant you just fuck off.

He'll be there all night and drop a points loss.

Murray arguably lost to Rosado, this will be a clinic.

Martin needs money like the next man..it's his job.

BJS still needs x3 fights this year and stay busy until the GGG fight happens.

There might be a trilogy with GGG and Canelo so BJS might have to wait until 2019!

If that happens I hope the other contenders choose to fight each other, rather than these keep busy fights.

Saunders is a fraud now , he is fighting anyone but the best.
He is in a long line of WBO joke title holders , Lemmy ( although already bested by GGG ) was a good win but how many corpses can you dig up in the name of this pathetic belt ?
