    Default Awesome night of boxing

I can say that I am well pleased with the boxing tonight.

Miura vs roman was a great fight. Both super tough guys but miura was just better. Hats off to both though. Great performance.

Vargas vs berchelt was a good fight. Vargas I think just has had too many wars recently and needed a break. Berchelt did what he was supposed to do and won.he boxed great. My only problem is that they should have stopped the fight at the very least a round sooner. The ref let it go on too long.

Garcia leads in KO of the year. It will be hard to beat that. Garcia looked awesome. Hopefully he keeps on going because he is going to dominate 135 and 140 (unless Crawford stays there which would be alright because that fight would be great). There is always room for more great fighters in boxing.

Santa Cruz vs frampton was a great fight. Very much enjoyed it and Santa Cruz proved me wrong by being able to adjust his style to pull out a victory. Congrats to him and I'm looking forward to a third fight.

Agree, was a great night for/of boxing. I'm of the opinion that the overall skill level (or skill level overall) in boxing has declined in recent years. That being said, there are some fighters today who are as skilled as anyone who ever laced on the gloves. Mikey Garcia us such a special fighter. Not just because of his power, which is special also, but because of how he controls the distance, pace, location, and tempo of his fights. In my opinion he is the lightweight version of GGG, and a big threat to Loma.

Santa Cruz and Framptom also impressed me last night. Not just with their skill and dedication/heart/mental toughness, but also their personalities and charisma. Both are such likeable guys, hard workers, and skilled fighters that you can't help but pull for them. Again, couldn't agree more that t was a great night at the fights.

I agree. I said that these last about 2 years boxing has really improved by a lot. We are starting to get legit fighters. As you said, Garcia is a legitimate threat to become a top fighter in the sport, while people like frampton and Santa Cruz aren't the top of the sport, but they are very skillful.

I feel like five years ago, Santa Cruz and frampton would be top p4p fighters because of the lack of great fighters. Now they may be on the bottom of the list of the great fighters which is a great thing because it shows that there are so many more great fighters.

Yes and we have Eubank Junior next week. It just gets better and better.

We need someone who can mod the mods, master is obviously trolling and trying to derail the thread.

Totally missed hbo card but caught Miura highlights. Like his story and style approach. Sounds like Vargas took a gradual outgunned hammering. They replay tomorrow night.

It was on about the same time as Frampton v Cruz fight which is stupid.
