Default Is Tyson Fury getting rid of Ben Davison?

I’m sure people are gonna see this very differently. Personally I reckon it’s the beginning of the end. I don’t know whether Davison is technically the best coach or the most knowledgeable or if he can run a camp etc.
But I know that he got Fury from the brink, got him in shape , got him to lose 10 stone and more important than all of that got him to LISTEN!
Very complex situation with Fury’s mental state and you could have the best trainer in the World in his corner on fight night, but it’s what happens in the months beforehand that counts, to get him in the ring in the first place.

I think it means that Fury isn’t right. I don’t really get the point of this at this point of his career.

Ben Davidson comes across really well in interviews and his camps with Fury have got him in good shape. The last fight was not great from Fury but that was mainly the cut. Maybe his dad will take control of him again.

It maybe not be the best time to change trainer his dad was not impressed with Davison. He may not be the best trainer
but he seemed to lookout for Tyson you could say more of a friend.
Fury has had his problems mentally drugs etc Ben was a calming effect on Tyson let's hope Fury is all the better for it.!

Too much shit always happening around Fury. First he bolts from an immediate rematch opportunity with Wilder to sign that multi-million contract. Then he sustains that ugly gash against world beater Otto Wallin. Now he inexplicably changes trainers.

Anyone else having serious doubts this rematch will actually happen?

Fury comes in in disarray, gets smoked. Retires. ..

Wilder then smokes AJ to take it all.

    Wilder retires.

    AJ retires.

    Ruiz regains.

You keep saying this but Fury was waiting for Wilder to fight Ortiz and now silence from Wilder. Wilder has ducked everyman and his dog for years but he can't really avoid the rematch.

The idea that Fury who fought Klit and Wilder would duck anyone is a bit barmy.

Ben comes across as a great guy, especially with the media, but i've never bought into this guru trainer lark with him. Always looks harsh when trainers get binned but Fury has done wonders for him too, nobody knew him when was the fitness guy for MTK working with the gypsy mob. He's made his mark in boxing now, plenty of opportunities on the table.

And when that big lunatic John Fury ranted live on TV Ben should be sacked he probably knew his time was up.

I only speak about what's displayed out in front of us. That Fury was the one who backed away from an immediate rematch is factual.... whatever the reason. That he fought two powder puffs and managed to put his eventual rematch with Wilder at risk by sustaining a huge and ugly gash is also factual. Same goes for the trainer change, which could conceivably provide a ready excuse to back away yet again from a Wilder rematch.

You on the other hand claim this "silence from Wilder". If anything continuously comes from Wilder and his camp, it's definitely not silence. In fact, it seems to me Wilder is looking forward to the rematch more than Fury is, because he feels the need to right a wrong. He sees he's got the power to put down Fury and probably feels embarrassed to have come out with a draw........ whatever the boxing public thinks.

That Wilder built his gaudy record on a parade of bums in the beginning? Yes....... and I was one of the louder voices in complaining about it. But that's all in the past now. Since then he's taken on more and more credible opposition. Watch him take on a Schwarz or a Wallin and watch the whole of boxing humanity come crashing down on him. Double standards are never pretty nor appropriate.

Fury would have taken the rematch but if you are offered insanely high money against 2 poor opponents you would take the offer.

Fury made the sensible decision there.

Yeah well... I hate ESPN for doing that but yeah... it was the sensible decision. Still.... to have someone claim Wilder's ducking a Fury rematch is beyond laughable.

ESPN should've left well enough alone and offered the contract AFTER the rematch. If you're gonna offer that huge amount of money, at least make the guy earn it.

A disputed draw against Wilder, off a pathetic showing against Wlad (only outdone by an even more pathetic showing by Wlad)..... are hardly grounds for ESPN to start throwing money at Fury.

But be that as it may, the fact is... there had better not be any more "stumbling blocks" in the way of that much needed rematch. Everyone needs closure here.
