Barrios is out.
according to boxingtalk.com, Marquez's camp is trying to set up a rematch with Chris John.

interesting
JMM has lost 3 times and 2 of those are highly debateable. He was robbed in INdonesia.let John come stateside for a fair fight. I wonder what Barrios medical reasons were? STD?
Even better!Originally Posted by frozensolid_702
Pac-JMM would be perfect though.

I agree. Similar to Morales-Diaz robbery. But John has been kickin' butt lately in asia. Like Pacquiao, Chris John has gotten better.Originally Posted by El Gamo
Indeed, this would be an interesting rematch.
I would be very, very surprised if John agreed to be Marquez's opponent.
John would be fighting in the US for the first time ever, at a weight he's never fought at before, and he'd be doing it on short notice.
That's A LOT of risk. It will take a big big payday to get him to do that, and I doubt Golden Boy wants to shell that out on short notice.
boxrec has the next opponent as Rocky Juarez. They better get that thing off PPV, that might be the lowest bought PPV fight in history.

I haven't seen the fight but was Chris John vs Marquez a robbery ?? from alot of people on here it seemed Marquez done well enough.
That "win" was accomplished by a gun and a mask. I'd love to see a rematch in Vegas, but I highly doubt John has the guts to leave the friendly haunts of Indonesia. If he does, that is a MUCH more desirable match than Barrios in my book. In fact, I was not planning on buying the fight, but if the opponent is John I'll pony up.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING
