Default Why Calzaghe can beat Kessler - an expert's view

    http://www.sportsnut.com.au/category.php?intid=7

One of the world’s leading boxing agents says Joe Calzaghe will have too many skills for Mikkel Kessler when they likely meet this year to unify the world super-middleweight title.

THIS BLOKE KNOWS WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT. HAD BIKA FIGHTING CALZAGHE AND SPARRING KESSLER

Thanks for the heads up, and seems like a decent analysis of the potential fight, however, if he's working with guys like Sakio Bika and Danny Green, he can't be that good (And where's my "Ooooh, contraversial" Smiley when i need it)

    Surely you jest.
Danny Green is probably the best light-heavyweight in the world right now. Wait and see.

I personally think Calzaghe will win with superior workrate but a tough fight to call.

and from the same article as above :

Bika, who lost a 12-round brawl with Calzaghe but gave the great Welshman some anxious moments with his brutal style, spent four weeks in Copenhagen sparring Kessler before the great Dane’s title defence against Librado Andrade.
    He sees the outcome differently.
``Sakio thinks that Kessler has the advantage over Calzaghe in every area - size, strength and boxing ability,’’ Hyder said. ``He feels Kessler will be too physical for Calzaghe to overcome.
``But plenty of other fighters have underestimated Calzaghe’s talent and come off second best,

I hope that Bika is right here , but I still think Kessler will need the TKO to win it.
