I wish him good luck on his paratrooping and I suggested he can get a GoPro to film The Thing and he told me to go to hell.

I have mentioned two or three times over the past 30 days that I have very fond memories of the two times we went out and we had good times together and lots of laughs and that he is a good guy and he told me that I am a despicable person

I mentioned on the public board this week that we were only victims of misunderstandings and how you cannot get the tone or the full meaning when you are just doing texting 4 months and months you can't tell when somebody is serious or just joking or a little bit of both. I think I have been pretty fair in all of these assessments

I then started a thread about The Melancholy of life and he tried to be really on the public board saying I am a terrible person inside and a spiteful and mean and nasty human being who deserves all of the emptiness that I am feeling and that you reap what you sow

And all that coming from a Christian a Roman Catholic no less

Gandalf I think we will have to put that last suggestion on hold for a while

My belief is that all too many Christians are in it for themselves anyway. They are scared of dying. They use it as a shield for their wrong doing. They fail to see that Jesus was just a peasant who wanted a Kingdom here on Earth. To shake off empire and corrupt temples. A Jewish man with a Jewish God who wanted a Jewish homeland. For them to buy into corrupt empire and newer corrupt temples is so not the way of Jesus. That is the real blasphemy.

100% truth but try telling that to a Muslim or a Buddhist for a Christian they are sucking on their pacifier like a three-week-old infant sucks on a pacifier and there's sucking on that thing so hard with drool running down their chin and their eyes screwed up in their heads that they cannot imagine letting go of that pacifier

Can you imagine these other gullible idiots who are born into a family for example a Muslim family and the parents simply hand the kid the poor innocent naive kid a book from God and they say this is the book from God and you better read it and you better believe in it because it's our whole family tradition going back Generations. And the stupid idiot just takes the book and reads it and believes it

The same goes for Christians and Hindus and Buddhists and everybody else. They just swallow the whole thing Hook Line & Sinker then when you try to talk to them about it it's like trying to pull a pacifier away from a drooling infant saliva running down his chin

It is the truth Walrus. Jesus was a human being who helped others, rejected materialism, and rejected occupation by Empire and corruption by a base religion. Do you really think Jesus would have been into the opulence of the Catholic Church considering he was the man that said if you have two coats then give the man with no coat one of them? He wanted to be a peasant king, to rule a socialist land where the rich are stripped of what they have and the poor be given a chance instead. This is why it is so funny that so many US Christians are on the right giving money to churches that have far too much money which are then given special status by corrupt governments. This is the opposite of what the message was. Challenging that resulted in his humanly death.

Show me just one piece of evidence to suggest otherwise. Show me one single person who can prove the existence of heaven. Show me one person who can prove the existence of an omnipotent God made in mans image. Show me one person who can prove Jesus returned from the dead. It's The Lord of the Rings style inversion of history. Show me one person who can say Jesus supported Empire and the corrupt Temple. The man was a socialist freedom fighter and as far as I am concerned that is pretty fucking cool on its own terms without the embellishments provided decades later to appease the Romans who had burned Israel to a crisp. He was given to the Romans and the Romans put him in the cross and he died the same as many other messiahs and people the authorities did not like. Is it so bad to actually believe in Jesus without all the bells and whistles on top. I am comfortable with my death and Jesus was too. That's how we should be living, like we are dead already. This is the closest to heaven we get.

And Jesus might well have believed in a God too, but it would have been the Jewish God. In those times all you had was myth and folklore he got his mostly from John the Baptist. His earthly ambitions were earthly ambitions and no omnipotent being came down and saved him. He died like any other man. Like you or I or anyone else. There's nothing so bad about dying. The thing that made Jesus different is that he took on the system. Most do not have that kind of courage.

I am interested in the life of human beings who lived their lives and I have no doubt that Jesus existed. I find it interesting when people are willing to die for what they believe in. I also think a lot of his values were decent ones. It also makes it even more curious when generations later the story becomes mythologized and people internalize it as a guide to life by absorbing the supernatural over what in reality was a little bit different. Jesus was taking on the Temple and the Roman Empire, he was a revolutionary. That's something that gets played down a lot and I find that very interesting.

As you can tell I am not mocking Jesus at all, I think the message was an interesting one. Resist occupation and help those around you. However, it is also a very dangerous message. He was a man of 2000 years ago and likely thought his God, his Jewish old Testament God, would intercede and do something dramatic, but he did nothing of the sort. If only Jesus had a copy of The God Delusion and rifle technology. It could have been different.

    It's a great story.
