Default Jaron Ennis v Sergey Lipinets 4/10 Showtime

Next generation for a stagnate 147 is on the move! A needed step up for 26-0 Jaron 'Boots' Ennis and follows on the heels of Vergil Ortiz jr doing the very same in his last start. #3 ranked Lipinets is every bit a capable operator and the very best Ennis has faced to date. Unfortunately he tends to walk in on a guy and while I don't like to get caught up in hype...Ennis is not the guy to walk onto. I expect a pretty entertaining fire fight with Ennis taking a chin check or two but then quite possibly getting the mid to late tko when Lipinets starts to bust up.

Jerwin Ancajas makes his 9th defense of a Super Fly strap v Jonathan Javier Rodriguez 22-1 from Mexico and 12-0 Eimantas Stanionis fights the battle tested semi resurgent Thomas Dulorme 25-4-1 who has more tread than a set of Firestones tires on the undercard in a trinket eliminator. Triple solid Showtime triple header for the first time in a long time.

I like the low key approach of Ennis. They may have played it up a bit but save all that strife and BS talk we here so much. Interesting Lipinets thinks he is going to run . I see a shoot out shaping up!

Ancajas in the third spot on the card opening things up. How's that for respect for a multi defense champ . Good 1st for him. Caught Rodriquez with a clean right that made him do a stutter step. Working the body well late round, Rodriquez looking for a sneaky uppercut.

Rodriquez nailed with rabbit punch complains to ref again. Ancajas really sits inside with his head too still and Rodriquez really working for the short uppercut coming close. Close 3rd actually.

Short counter lefts on point for Ancajas in 4th stops Rodriquez in his tracks a couple times.

cleaner more distanced 5th for Ancajas moving well. Rodriquez has this awkward chop to him but can't do much when on the end of the punches.

Ancajas back to boring in with head on the line and Rodriquez doing a good job of answering exchanges in 6th. Goood left to body of Ancajas and Rodriquez has a very live dangerous uppercut. Best round and first won for Rodriquez.

Good behind the hard jab again Ancajas, Rodriquez coming forward working right hand on the southpaw. Steve Farhood has it even just can't see that.

Ancajas has two personalities literally flip flopping round between sharp outside work and then laying in. Some serious exchanges in this 8th Ancajas has his trapped in corner. Ancajas gets the KD and Rodriquez has a time getting up but does. He may have shot his load that round was brutal for both.

Wow this has turned a war. You can see it sapping Rodriquez though but he is still sitting down on his stuff. Literally tit for tat exchanging clean uppercuts and looking at one another ffs

Just an awesome 9th. Rodriquez has big balls and rallies back with Ancajas along the ropes and soaking up hard body shots from the challenger!

This is why you never yank a Mexican warrior the first time they get wobbled . Head to head in 10th Rodriquez lands a right hand he threw from the damn parking lot. Hard scrappy round both looked buzzed and Ancajas holding on late 10th. Can see last two round for Rodriquez and before that his corner was asking him if he wanted to quit . Brutal fight.

Ancajas gets his head together in 11th sharp combos and gets out well. Rodriquez almost batting away the lead left like he's more irritated by it than now hurt just trying to lay his own in. Stays right in front all round, left eye of Ancajas lumping up better round for the champ.

Simple as..Ancajas stay in he gets nailed with these awkward chopping hooks but takes it well. Somehow Rodriquez looks stronger that earlier, tale of two styles for the champion. He's pooching this final round a bit by laying his head stock still. Give these two a bonus this was a fecking war! Much respect

Scores 115-112..116-111..117-110 all three Ancajas W.Unam. The 117-110 is bogus, gave Rodriquez clean 4 rounds easily. It turned after the KD got brutal.
