    Default style conformity

is it alright for a bigger guy (cruiser or heavy) to be a "dancer" or a technician? or is it a better idea to stick to that old "heavy swing, heavy swing, clinch, repeat" style that most heavyweights use these days? and also, can a flyweight fight like a big man? any input is appreciated

Just pick whatever works for you and use it. Theres no reason a quicker heavyweight couldnt stick and move, or a stronger lightweight couldnt swing for the fences. Just find a style that feels right for you, and use it the best you can. Granted, if you're trying to stick and move gets you knocked out every time, maybe you need to find a new style.
Boxing is like a handjob, and MMA is like a hot sweaty orgy with 5 chicks. I could never say no to a handjob, but which would you rather have?

Helps if you can do all that, no matter what your weight division, if you can box clever, go in the trenches and ties the other guy up you can be effective than if you just limit your self to one style.

Ali did alright as a dancer...The reason Tyson was so successful was that he fought like a bntamweight. The sad state of affairs is the typically a VERY skilled heavyweight exhibits the same skill level as the average welterweight. A small fighter- a lighter weight fighter- would not be able to fight like a plodding clutch and grab HW; lighterweight fighters fight at a fater pace and higher skill level.

fighting like your not meant to is a way to mess up your opponents. they wont be prepared for it, or will have to change their entire figting style just to combat it
