Default downloading vid technical advice please

I have my sparring on DVD now - bless her little heart my flatmate had the DVD sitting outside my bedroom door waiting for me when I got home last night.

She's done a fantastic job even sorting it into little chapters for me -

Thing is the files are in _TS format and big.

Anyone know how to save them in a way which makes them small enough and in the right format to be compatible with U Tube?

Yes I'm very new to and bad at this

That's great to hear. You'll need some software:

-something to convert it to a common format like mpeg or avi.
-video editor to cut it into smaller pieces and to adjust the file size.

I'm having trouble finding any software at the moment.

All good thanks Chris CC -

I'm sure I'll get it eventually - at least we sorted out the flywire cable issues

My flatmate being the LEGEND she is has offered to video my sparring once a month so all our boxers can see our progress so maybe I'll end up posting next month's vid instead

That's a good idea. I'll see if I can dig up up some software sometime that can help with that.

    Thanks Chris

If I'm going to be getting monthly vids that could be a worthwhile investment for me.

I'm thinking I'll post them in the training log and date them to keep track of them.

Really dealing with the embarrassment of putting them up might motivate me to improve a bit more too
