Wow..... 3 pages on this shit. Good thing we don't have any other important news to worry about.

A guy lied and made up an imaginary attack, mobilizing police forces and wasting the government (public's) money and resources.

The justice system botched it up as it tends to do more frequently than it should. The fact the guy is a rich, public figure (celebrity) with friends in high places likely had something to do with that.

An average Joe off the street would've had the book thrown at him.

All the racial angles being thrown around are bullshit.

    In other words..............

When I said "friends in high places", I didn't realize just how "high" these places were.

Isn't there some sort of legal recourse here? Like some sort of civil lawsuit or something? Surely this guy can't just skip out on this ugly mess he created.

In a nutshell, a Chicago attorney who was previously Chief of Staff for former First Lady Michelle Obama inappropriately acted on Smollett's behalf in an effort to have the case turned over to the FBI.

I know that one person stepped aside and allowed an independent person to look at the case because they felt compromised. I think that is a fair decision to make.

You'd have to see the vid. In this case it doesn't sound like this attorney stepped aside at all...... and why would she even care to act in such a manner when it really should've been no concern of hers. Just looks a bit too fishy for me.

Hmmm..... if I'm Jussie Smollett, I'd want Asha Rangappa to arrest me. She's a former FBI Special Agent but I'd hope she'd come back to the FBI to handle my case.

@Master ...you're preaching in the desert. Trump is now clearly cursing in his speeches to the public..... taking out his collusion accusation frustrations on the general public..... spitefully doubling down on every threat he's ever made (wall, healthcare)..... and it won't be long before he starts referring to "those motherfuckers" in his speeches.

Not saying @walrus lacks critical thinking skills, but that breaker trips whenever Trump comes up.
