Serves us right! What did we think should have happened? What did we want to happen to 50 plus year old men? lolol...

Uhh... that's just it. Nobody really expected anything. When you don't expect anything, you're not disappointed.

I watched it because frankly, I don't have DAZN and I had to have my boxing fix. The undercard had a couple of pretty good fights.

Tyson came in shape and performed well, although clearly holding back on Jones.

Jones, IMO, might be an ATG and all that... and I've always been a Jones fan.

    But... c'mon man.

The guy was puffing and wheezing from the 1st round.

The draw was ordained, so as to not hurt a legend's feelings. Anyone who expected otherwise, well...

Didn’t watch til today. Draw isn’t surprising.

RJJ hugged. Tyson not active enough.

Although Tyson would have battered Dubois last night.... so hope for Mike yet!

We can’t criticise legends like this.

    RJ was hugging all night.

    Referee should have warned him.

I’m happy that they’re both happy.

No more RJ fights please, but we can continue to watch Tyson put on a few more events

There was no scam in involved.

Two ancient ex champions returning for an exhibition bout where it was pre-determined that there were going to be no winner or KOs & that if one of them got cut, the fight would be stopped.

It went pretty much how you would expect such a fight to go.

Agreed. Maybe some non boxing fans got scammed, but if you are a real boxing fan, I’m not sure why you would be expecting more than what happened.

Tyson looked surprisingly good though, didn't he. Clearly he isn't the fighter he was, but he was in great shape for a 54 year old, quick hands too.

In fact, he had more head movement and a better jab that he showed in his last 6 fights!

Had he wanted to, he would have absolutely splattered Jones, who was in bad shape and was still panting half an hour after the exhibition finished.

Of course, he wouldn't compete with the top level guys any more, and to suggest otherwise is just foolish, but it was a fun exhibition

Only scammed if you payed for it expecting a competitive boxing encounter. They never tried to sell it as anything other than an exhibition though with some pre-determined rules.

It seems like the event caught people's attention though. Looking on the Boxing reddit to gauge interest, the event thread got far more comments than the Dubois/Joyce thread.

Not sure if that's depressing or just to be expected.

Scammed?! That's like driving thru a rough ass neighborhood, you see a sign in front of a hole-in-the wall looking tavern with a NEON sign that says "GIRLS GIRLS Sexy Dancers"

U plop out $10 Sitting in front U notice dancers with fresh C-section cuts, stab wounds and cigarette burns then turn to ya buddy and say...I think that sign in the front was a scam!
