What have been your favourite moment in British boxing of 2009?

Well, as we draw to the end of another year here on Saddo's, what have been the outstanding memories that you will carry forward from 2009?

I put forward a few suggestions here, or add your own if I've missed anything!

1) Carl Froch KO'ing Jermain Taylor in the dying seconds of their fight.
2) Cello Renda and Paul Samuels' double knockdown.
3) Amir Khan winning his title against Kotelnik and the brief KO of Salita.
4) David Haye beating Valuev for the WBA Heavyweight title.
5) Matthew Macklin's 1-round KO of Amin Asikainen for the European middleweight title.
6) Ryan Rhodes rolling back the years to beat Jamie Moore.

The two fights that got me off the sofa and cheering are Froch - Taylor and Rhodes vs Moore.

Rhodes v Moore was a exciting fight, even if I was rooting for Jamie.

Personally, I've thrown my vote behind Matthew Macklin's 1-round KO of Amin Asikainen, which was frankly sensational considering Asikainen's previous history in dealing with European level competition.

I admit I've been an advocate of Jamie Moore in the past, due to his behaviour and conduct outside of the ring, and I truly hope he'll be coming back at a higher weight in 2010.

Strange that Khan isn't really getting a big vote here so far, looks like most people aren't believing the hype that he is truly a world champ, though he does have the WBA belt.

Jamie Moore vs. Ryan Rhodes will stick in my memory for a while. That was an inspired bit of matchmaking and Frank Maloney should be applauded. The guy is by far and away, the best value for money promoter in the UK.

Surprised not to see Thaxon vs Murray in the list.That was a good fight while it lasted!

A tie between Froch KOing Taylor and Ryan Rhodes rolling back the years and rocking back Moore's chin! Good times, but hopefully there'll be a few more like them this year.
