I think a lot of people feel that way
well i like JT as well he needs to start winning by clear victories if they are by KO, TKO, or a one sided UD verses contraversal SD cuz then all the haters come out to play. and when i say JT yes i am referring to the current middleweight champ of the world JUSTIN "SEXYBACK" TIMBERLAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!

He needs to stop getting decisions handed to him. He needs to dominate or at least not leave it controversial.
Hate to break ballz brother, but that statement is condradictory "He is top tier no doubt"?But he is not impressive to youOriginally Posted by "PRIDE OF JAMAICA PLAIN"
You all forget...When was the last time Bernard Hopkins and Winky Wright got KO'D or involved in a offenseive gunfight or looked overmatched? I think it is impressive that this "kid" and "prospect" has 2 wins and a draw(controversial or not) against 2 Hall Of Famers Oh and By the way the 2 premier defenders(besides James Toney ) in the game the past 10 years and still is middleweight champion..
and he is just starting to reach his prime
thats because he was handed the Wright and first Hopkins decision. The rematch could have went either way.
Nah it's not contradictory, I mean I feel the same way about Wladimir, Ricky Hatton and Johnny NelsonOriginally Posted by JT Rock
true. I see it that way. In boxing it's not only that you win but HOW you win. And JT hasn't had a fight like that in over 2 years. That will turn people off of you. He really needs to start KOing everyone!!!Originally Posted by dasamm
It feels good to be back home.
Not just "everyone' but every "someone" that he fights, or at least dominate them He still fighting Sergio Mora?Originally Posted by bigragu
KO Who Raguster? Nard?? Winky?? You guys are just used to seeing champions get there belts and fight B&C level fighters and mandatorys that are mediocre at best, Until they are forced to take a big fight once every year and a half..Who has Punked out Nard or Winky??Originally Posted by bigragu
who have overmatched them in the past 8yrs............I'll answer that NO ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dony worry you will all get your Ko if and when he gets in there with Mora next fight
Well if you thought Jermain Taylor fighting the Contender champion is bad, Calzaghe might be fighting Joey Spina who failed the auditions to even make the showOriginally Posted by Starr

He needs to convincely win a fight against a premier fighter. The decisions and draw against Wright & Hopkins could have easily gone against him. So far he has yet to impress many including me.
You gotta give Taylor credit for facing such tough opposition 2 fighters with Hopkins & 1 against Wright both who are top 10 P4P fighters & he hasn't lost! I thought he was lucky to get the draw with Wright but thought he won both fights with Hopkins. Neither guy dominated Taylor which says a lot about his talent. Sure he didn't win convincingly but he wasn't beaten convincingly either. There were many who didn't even give him a shot at Hopkins the 1st time so to be in the position he is as middleweight champion with a 1st defense win over the #1 contender then his 2nd defense draw against the #1 contender is top notch. Taylor can only get better from here, he's already fought two of the best fighters in the world & hasn't lost who can ask for more than that?
