Default Taylors WBA title in limbo

LITTLE ROCK - Jermain Taylor is no longer listed as the World Boxing Association middleweight champion, pending an investigation requested by one of his top challengers.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported Wednesday that fellow middleweight Felix Sturm of Germany requested an inquiry into whether Taylor's championship should be recognized by the WBA. Robert Mack, the WBA's legal director, said Taylor hasn't been stripped of his belt. But he said Taylor was removed from the official ranking list while the investigation proceeds.

Mack said Sturm is questioning whether Taylor had met all the requirements necessary to be the unified champion. Issues include whether Taylor had his last defense sanctioned before the bout.

Taylor is a Little Rock native.

If they strip him it would be one of the worst BS moves by this organization.

WTf.. This loses me some respect for Sturm I think, an investigation?!?! Of course it's his fucking title.. Plus Sturm already had an offer to fight Taylor and turned it down, what could his reasoning possibly be.. He beat some 40 yr old unknown Masoe, other then that he hasn't done shit since DLH.. Why not. I think he's a bit of a coward perhaps.

all the sanctioning bodies are being ridiculous now it seems, the IBF with Judah, and this crap.. It's like they are reminding us how fucking corrupt they are and how badly boxing needs 1 commission.
