Lightweight is one gotdamn hot division right now.

A while ago people were saying that 140 was the most exciting division at the time, for quality and matchups. With movements up to 147 its kinda disbanded.

Lightweight had kinda taken over now. The division is wide open now, and there are so many top level fighters up there, Juan Diaz, Zahir Raheem, Acelino Freitas, Jose Luis Castillo, Chico Corrales, Jesus Chavez, Eriz Morales, Rocky Juarez, Marco Antonio Barrera and etc.

That is one star studded weight class, yet somehow its going under the radar a bit, its not the fight fest it ought to be, even though brilliant fights are coming out of there. All of the guys don't duck other fighters, and all are extremely good, plus all have a good chance against eachother. Any insights as to why that is, and also who do you think is the best?

I like it a lot, Juan Diaz is one of my favorite fighters along with JLC, but one thing is if JLC beats Coralles he's probably gone to 140. And I'm not sure if Morales is gonna fight too much here but yeah its a very good division, JLC, Coralles, Raheem, Juan Diaz, Freitas, Chavez and even Julio Diaz. Nate Campbell too, that Isaac Hlatshwayo guy. The more I think about it, it is stacked.
